A simple exhibit

Finally i went to Children's World in the zoo for a walk (had some extra time after a lesson). And they made this " artifical kampong" and displayed the insects and animals which u will find in the kampong houses in glass display as shown. And i especially like this "rat exhibit". innovative i think. the rats'd have been happy at least. strokie ratties.

You guys may wanna drop by the new Children's World. a new experience i would say.

While im happily jumping and hopping by Chidren's World, i got myself stuck to the bunnies area. and. ended up trying to bunny-nap the bunnies one by one. And. i got scratched by the following big guy =P

He/She is one huge bunny. 40cm maybe when in the position shown. or maybe even more. one huge fat bunny definitely. Ah. so cute. strokie strokie~

A simple wish

All i wanted was for her wound to heal smoothly and to mix her back with her group.
Well, poor girl was infected with melioidosis* and had to be euthanized after we spent weeks treating her. What can i say. Had to go on with life.

A button of this girl (#12 was her ear notch number) will be kept with me.

A little extras (for the interested).

Melioidosis
(also called Whitmore disease or Nightcliff gardener's disease) is an infectious disease caused by a Gram-negative bacterium, Burkholderia pseudomallei, found in soil and water. It is of public health importance in endemic areas, particularly in Thailand and northern Australia. It exists in acute and chronic forms.

And last but not least, ta-da~

A Simple Rat

Cloud Rat
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Rodentia
Family: Muridae
Subfamily: Murinae

It was found in the canopy of a large tree, on large horizontal branch covered by a thick layer of moss, orchids and ferns about five meters above ground

One of the most spectacular cases of adaptive radiation by mammals anywhere in the world.

At least 15 species ranging in size from 2.6 to 15 kg, all living only in the Philippines.

(Not much was found online. Will try my very best to check it out and update here ^^ Sorry ne)

Have been long since we recieve a new species. And this guy was too, too cute. Arrived, actually, to the zoo in a pair. One, sort of... was gone due to some errors. But this guy is the survivor and he look, practically like the rat plushie on shelves in some random toy store. and he holds the nut (approximately 5-6cm in diameter), just like Padi. And check out the furry furry tail. strokie. Fuwa fuwa.

Strokie tail~
