Well well well. absolutely had no idea why i am still awake at this time BUT! if you gotta do it, you've gotta give the best. Hence. Ta-da! second experiment done with my capies regarding their preference in tapioca to sweet potato to corn to carrot.

Recalling what happens in my last experiment (please refer to Aug 21's post). The capies were given sweet potato, tapioca, carrots and corn. After a few minutes, sweet potato and tapioca were found completely eaten with carrots plus corn untouched.

Hence! this time, i limited food to only

Explained clearly in step-by-step :

1. Display One



Well, we had an extra apple and a few pieces of jackfruit skin to spare. Hence chopped up two of em and threw in along with the experiment. As labelled, clearly shown the different food i've threw in.

2. Display One







Here Capy comes in. And along the photos, Capy is seen obviously moving towards sweet potato. And ATE IT!

3. Display Two



i then, switched the position of both tapioca and sweet potato. And release capy again.

And dear dear Capy seems to be following the same route. And have no dislike whatsoever to tapioca.

5. Display Three



After, apple was placed in position of tapioca and sweet potato. Capy initially when for similar. But sniffed, realised its not any of potato, and actually turned to the sweet potato. Hence, proving Capy indeed did not prefer apples.

6. Display Four



Display was then almost completely changed again. So as to ensure Capy cannot follow the same route. And this is what i dissscover :

Capy was sniffing around. And seems to really dislike the jackfruit skin. She then went for sweet potato, placed at the side and started munching happily.

8. Display Five





Similarly, i switched the position of both sweet potato and tapioca. And the capy INDEED, followed same route and started munchin on the tapioca.

9. Display Six



Finally i poured out both sweet potato and tapioca. And placed them alternately side by side. Capy released. Went straight for nearest sweet potato/tapioca and munch munch munch >< Within mintutes, All sweet potato and tapioca were eaten uuupp!

Hence! therefore. Capybara, i think, does not have a preference between sweet potato and tapioca. But definitely liked both of that more to any other food. So. Maybe another experiment when i have enough time and am crazy enough.
